Hey guys not sure how many folks here are friends with him on Facebook but he needs all the prayers, ju ju or whatever it is that you do to par favor with your chosen higher being. He’s been in intensive care for a few weeks now. It’s been a series of steps back and forth.

For the new folks who don’t know about the Dink his screen name was Kombat86. His username no longer appears in the membership list. But, he is one of the nicest guys I’ve ever had the pleasure to know. He organized many, many box passes. Of course there were a few box passes that went missing between the time he sent them and when they should have returned to him.

Hopefully in his honor one of you guys who seem to be able to resurrect damn near any dead 12 year old thread can find a few of the funnier ones and top them.

I was just thinking about him yesterday. I have a lancero that he bought himself, and sent to me in a trade. Was moving things around and wondered how that dink is doing. Sad to hear he's in a bad way.

David had a tough week but he fought like a champ and made progress. Though moving in the right direction he still needs us to keep thinking about and lifting him.

I think once you go dark for certain period of time your user name gets purged.

I don't know about all you folks. I didn't interact much with the Dink. He always seemed like a good egg to me. I just had no reason to cross paths with my brother. Knew he was a huge Michigan fan. Happy to see his team finally did the deed.

Seriously sad to see the Dink is not in a position to enjoy that victory. God has a plan for everyone. I pray his plan is for the Dink to enjoy the win He allowed for his team.

He’s a truly great person. We’ve planned to try to meet a few times but it hasn’t worked out. Kinda like Thursday when I thought I’d be passing your way. I was going to have to stop regardless because I didn’t have enough hours to make my location in one day. Could have laid over near you. Then I had a blowout and my workday clock expired an hour south.

he was a key to the fun around here for awhile...but he could take more than he gave (as far as shenanigans --he was super generous when it came to cigars)...

how else do you explain a guy whose intended alias when he joined was Kombat...but everybody said "Nah, you're Wombat!"...and he embraced that and became known as Wombat...

Status Quo again this week. Improving a little every day. David is scheduled to be moved to a rehabilitation center sometime next week to work on physical therapy and wound care. I will let everyone know when he moves and what the visiting hours are.
