Update for tomorrow.

Two goals for tomorrow.

#1 Arrive @ Corona Cigar at noon.

#2 Hit the Black Bean Cafe. ETA for there is the 10:45-11:00 window.

If you can make it to both, great. If the Bean isn’t possible, see you at Corona.

6.5 hours of meetings. I’ll do one on the drive over and one on the drive home and I’ll have minions on all of them except 3:30 - 5:00pm. I gotta be on that one and at my desk with my three computers in front of me.

A good time was had. Cigars were burned. Drinks were had. I had to bail at 2pm for work but I’m very glad I could make it. They could still be going. I got gifted way too many cigars and even cheese from Wisconsin!

Robert and I closed it down.

ALWAYS great to meet new people from here.

Funny...i was gifted cigars and cheese ( Bacon Cheddar and Ghost Pepper Chile Pepper Jack) too. And smoked a Party short. Thank you MACS for the double Glenfiddich 14...totally didn't see you paying for it. Next time we meet I'll bring a bottle!

That was a good time. DMV Punched me 20 times, and a great exchange of cigars not available on CigarBid. Lounge was great. Hanging with the Floridians. Could have gone on for hours.

Robert treated with a Cuban lunch. Had my first Cuban Coffee and an authentic Cubano sandwich.
It has ruined me for the “Cubanos” I’ve had in Wisconsin. Going forward, only Florida Cubano Sandwiches.

MVP: Shawn’s wife. Even through she dislikes cigar smoke, she hung in there like a trooper.

Sounds like a great time. I'm jealous.

How did 8 get cheese on the plane? Last time I tried, they pulled me aside to inspect my luggage and wipe me down for residue because, they told me, cheese looks like plastic explosives on the x-ray machine.

I've shared times with 3 of the folks on the list. All are great folks. The others are yet to meet in person if they can set their standards low enough as the others have done.

Do’s and Dont’s for airport cheese transport.

Do take as a carry on, do not place in checked bags.
Don’t rewrap the cheese in butcher paper. If you do, they have to open and swab them for explosives.
Transport them just the way you bought them at the cheese factory or store. Don’t repackage.
Do tell the TSA scanner your bag has cheese in it. It lowers their conern level a notch.

The TSA dude told me he sees more bags with cheese in them leaving Wisconsin than not.

Pro Tip: if you you placed the cheese in a checked bag (bad) and you get called back to a 6x8 security room to unlock a non-approved TSA lock in front of three concerned TSA agents, Do Not say anything about C4 as you unlock the bag. It gets a little tense.

That was a blast. Was good to see Le HD again... we commiserated a little about the plight of poor Californians left behind. Well, okay, no we didn't.

Robert, thanks again for lunch and the ERDM! Was great to finally meet you.

DMV, thanks for the smokes buddy. Was great to finally meet you, too, after all the texts and conversations!

Limited myself to 1 glass of Maker's Cask Strength. I was driving. Not at the time, but you know... later. fog

We left the puppy dog at home, so we bailed shortly after HD so we could be home in time to feed him. Mrs 8track bought him a toy, so all was forgiven. More time would have been awesomer.

You lost me at "the cheese factory or store." LOL. Cannot thank you enough for the cheese. We are going to use it to make nacho dip.

Moreover, I cannot tell you how great it was to meet you and MACS and your wives for the first time.

We need to herf again soon! But, next time I will drive to J'ville if necessary. But, then there is always Ybor City which is a must do just 60 minutes past Corona!

Been there/done that 3x in my life, one of which included a naked search at the Detroit border with Canada. Even had to bend over so they could see my ass crack was empty of drugs. Asked why me and they said it was random based on a certain number of cars crossing the border and I was it.

Second time they stopped my 7 year old son for a pat down solely because he was the last passenger whose ticket was scanned in for the flight

Third time was my daughter's suitcase at the airport Grand Cayman. She was like 12at the time. They went through everything pocket by pockets and seam by seam. Thank god the cigars were in my bag!!!

Oh, and then there is Israeli security before you get out of the main terminal. When I was a kid they split three of us children up into three separate rooms, interviewed my parents to make sure they weren't terrorist. They then came back to each of us three kids privately and asked them the same questions to see if they mustached my parent's answers.

It was a pleasure to meet you and your wife. Next time it's going to be either FGM Herf, Ybor or me coming up towards Jacksonville...

Really awesome ladies...you guys upgraded for sure!

Speaking of Ybor...when (notice I didn't say if!) we schedule that we HAVE to book the walking tour! I haven't done that since the time HD, Cycleman and Wheelrite(RIP!) did it.

Also...Cathederal Cigars (the pics of the place are all here...https://www.cigarbid.com/Forum/c/posts/664530/Cathederal-Cigars-Tampa-FL and many more pics with Cathederal in the title AND Cigars International in Wesley Chapel. I guess the new thing is to sign the big cigar smoking smiley logo. I'm sure if we logged on to our accounts and showed the guys they'd let us!

I DGAF where we meet up...Central FL is all awesome...I'm hearing really good things about Viera too!

If we go to Ybor I only have three requests:

La Espada TfGM's
Columbia for lunch
The tour!
Visit to the Fuente shop.

Might be cruising there in a couple weeks to buy a box of cigars to give away at FGM's Herf. Will let you know. BTW. the extra time we spent together after everyone left was very meaningful to me.
