Tight draw on this one. Unexpected and frustrating.

I only have 2 of these left. Sadly looks like they did away with this vitola.
I'll have to try the little devils.

Palama, I think I’m gonna have to break down and get one. I have a penknife that I keep scalpel sharp and it is very useful with cigars. But sometimes it just won’t clear out the stick w/o making it way too loose and unsmokable. Thanks for the recommendation.

Or get a cheap draw poker/nubber combo on that rainforest site..($10-$15 compared to $25 for Perfecdraw)

Theyre much larger and heavier making them unpractical to carry in your pocket, but ok if u only need it at home. They also don't work as well as a Perfecdraw because Perfecdraw still holds a patent on their superior design but they're better than just a thick needle.

My first time smoking this. It has an open draw, almost too loose but not quite.

DED - I’m very glad that there was at least one in the pile that you could enjoy. The AR Quattro is one of my favorites…so far!

Mebbe a group buy would help lower the cost? Think

I’ve already ordered one. It’s not the price that bothers me. It’s that I’ve got all kinds of crap I’ve bought for cigars and pipes. No matter. I’ll downsize soon.

That's been my plan too...for about 5 years. Started some projects but always distracted by new ones.

Sigh....

81802: Latitude Zero Signature BP Robusto
This is an enjoyable cigar for me. Kickoff with black pepper, leather. Black pepper fades almost completely away at 1/2 inch and heavy leather tastes more like light leather but still present. Lots of toasty bread and malt and graham cracker throughout first half. Back half the graham crackers notch up to a molasses flavor and black pepper is in background. Just somewhat creamy but it’s there. In the final third that pleasant sour twang bursts onto the palate quite suddenly, quickly followed by a bit of salt. There is a sweet and toasty finish throughout the entire experience. The draw is right where I like it. It is box pressed and I used a deep V cut, the tobacco at the cap was quite tasty. There was a crack in the first third that didn’t seem to affect my smoking pleasure. Just one prominent vein and other, smaller veins well distributed. The seems were visible and compared to other cigars maybe they were a bit sloppy but presented no problems. The wrapper was dark, somewhat oily with a light shine and it appeared to have enough little bumps to say it is a bit toothy. I look forward to finishing my five pack but with all of the competition out there and my storage overflowing, I doubt I’ll buy these again soon.

I go back to my last post and carefully count up to the post I’m making, being sure to correct any miscounts, repeats or mistakes. Then I punch in the wrong number and post.

Right ^. I stare at the number before the one I’m supposed to post. My brain memorizes then I copy it. Or I just post something completely wrong

81807: 601 Blue Label Maduro BP Robusto
I’m trying to learn about different cigar makers and it is difficult to keep them sorted out. This little BP Maddie is made by Erik Espinosa and I like it. I’m thinking if I let them rest longer I’ll like them even more. Excellent construction and perfect draw for me. Very earthy and woody up front then less earth and molasses and pepper comes on and lasts until the middle of last third. At that point the cigar was burning too hot and it became bitter. I could have been rushing it at the end. But it is a nice medium + Maduro with long sweet aftertaste. I’m going to keep an eye on Espinosa’s other blends.

81810 Alec Bradley prensado lost art romusto from jeebs thank you brother Been a while since I’ve had one and this one is pretty good. Has a very light pepper thing going on that I like. I don’t love the super pepper bomb cigars but this level of pepper is good. Semi sweet up front with a little pepper on the exhaust side. I’d smoke it again

^Amen for that, Jake.

81811: RP Vintage 1992 BP Churchill
This was a good cigar with nice flavor transitions and it piddled out in the last third like the rest of them have. With an RP fiver it seems like I get five different cigars instead of one blend of tobacco. I won’t say I’ve never enjoyed any RP smoked. I enjoyed this one until I got a bit into the last third. I am a stickler for consistency and reliability. Am I setting myself up for frustration? I haven’t bought any RP lately but that’s because I’ve got 5s and 10s of a whole lot of his blends. I can’t see buying any more even if I do enjoy some of the smokes.

81812 Warped Flor del Valle was excited to try this one, only 2 weeks in my humidor. Saw em on sale and needed to try my single to decide if I should buy a tenski.

Straight pepper bomb to start. Not typical Nicaraguan pepper bomb either this was burn the sinuses I just snorted cayenne type pepper. And nothing else came through until after the first ash drop. Now it turned into more the cigar I anticipated. Much more pleasant. There's still a bit of a bite on retro but either it chilled out or I adapted quickly. Either way, it's quite pleasant. The texture is thin but building, honey roasted nuts coming forward. Halfway, the cream has continued to build and is where I like it. Nice buttery rich texture, loads of sharp spice, some mineral notes, some woodiness, there's a lot here and I am enjoying it. Tenski is a go. I paid $8 for the single and $55 for the ten pack.
