A lack of self control makes Knight his own worst enemy.

It is about time. There is no excuse for actions he exhibits. It is a show of total lack of self control and respect for others.

Bob Knight gets a bad rap. You cannot argue with results. The fact is the guy was uncompromising which turns people off, but it was part of his greatness and why he is one of the most successful ever. Hey, this ain't little league baseball, it is big time athletics and big time business, so a little yelling shouldn't twist anyone's undies into a knot. Sadly, it's not merit but perception that matters in this Clintonian world. Knight simply expected certain standards to be met and did not care or listen to the trendy meely-mouthing from "sensitive" people. You've got to admire that.

Looks like the school's president was uncompromising also. I agree, Knight's an incredible coach, but really, we're not talking about "a little yelling" here -- we're talking about physical violence. Were you behind Latrell Sprewell also? The big-time business he's in is the same big-time business the school president is in -- gaining visibility to bring in students and earning money. If you are heading up a university, do you want to tell the public, "We'll bring out the best in your children any way we can; we have people on staff that will choke it out of them." Knight's good, but he crossed the line.

Yes, Knight did cross the line. But as is was stated earlier, perception is paramount. Clinton crossed the line as well, using the power and prestige of the White House to lure whores onto their knees. The biggest difference is that Clinton got away with it, while Knight is perceived as evil. He got what he deserves for certain, but we need better consistency here. We apparently expect college coaches to behave with higher morality than we do our commander in chief.

I would not take 1000 Clintons for one Bobby Knight. I can assure you this country would be infinitely better off if Mr. Knight had been the President for the last 8 years. This politically correct BS will surely go the way of Clinton. See Ya Clinton! The liberal media has the collective psyche of this country skewed. Oh for the day when my '71 Corvette was new, Nixon was President and I had a full head of ungrayed hair! Just put me in a time machine, set it for 30 cents a gallon and send me home.

I tell you another thing, if Mr. Vincent Lombardi were coaching today he would come up against the same liberal mindset that coddles, that tells our kids there are no losers, we are all winners. Win or lose. I'll never forget 15 years ago my stepsons T-ball(Sissyfied game IMHO) team had lost every game and yet they had a banquet and passed out trophies! I could still puke! That is just one of the reasons this country is going straight to hell! Let's reward underachievement and condemn anyone who demands excellence! I seriously doubt this country will ever survive Clinton and the legacy of lies he has authored. Short of a second coming of Reagan. If, God willing, GW is elected, I hope his motto will be WWRD(What Would Reagan Do?)AMEN!
