Best cigars not available anymore

One of my favorites was the Aurora Preferido Cameroon. Ran 10 packs for $40. Another was Trinidad Paradox. Was nailing boxes for $30. Anyone else missing the old selections?

^ I have a few of the OR REOs from back in the day. You oughta let me send them to you. I would need an addy though ...

(You can drive your own bus! Don't be a victim and let someone else do it. Take charge!)

The original CAO Criollo was good. I had one left over when I started smoking again, and it aged well.

Probably 10 years ago I tried a few different Toranos. None of them impressed me. Poorly rolled, stems etc….. How far back are you talking about?

Bolivar Corona Gigante. Quai d'Orsay Coronas. Just to name 2 of my faves...

The Aurora Preferido Cameroon should still be available, I bought a 5er of it just a month or two ago. Although they are pretty pricey these days. Singles are 14$ on one of the sites.

I thought they came out around 2000...2001

It’s quite recent, but….
The Sobremesa Short Torpedo..
Saka made it as a special release just for CI and this place.

He did the same with the Short Robusto, which he made/still makes? For the well known place, which is the parent of the other auction place.
No more short torps here.
The well known place still has short robs!!??

Come on Saka! Crank out some Short Torps for cbid again!

I haven't smoked any of the new ones, can't compare. I liked the old ones when they first came out, but my tastes nowadays are for stronger cigars.

Makes sense. That’s about 10 years earlier

King I still have some of those short torpedo. I believe you were the one to recommend them to me “put them away for a couple years”
Love sobremesas

I love em too.
I bought lots, but am down to 20 or so short torps.
Had to switch over to the short rob from the other place, and have a decent stash of those, but still like the short torp more.

I pretty much can’t afford buying the “regular” Sobremesa line, and glad I don’t need to.
Every now and then the other place will sneak in a lot of 10 boxes of Mi Querida Short Gordos, which is when I buy those.

Ditto. It had a unique flavor. I think I have one, maybe two, in the bottom of a box. Need to break it out.

Although I tried a couple of different vitolas, I didn’t think much of the Sobremesa’s. They weren’t bad but for whatever reason, not good enough for me to want to chase. So even though you wrote glowingly about them, just never bought any. Probably should have at least tried a 5er. Oh well…. d'oh!

I recently had an OR Robusto and was lamenting not getting them when they were available.

But, iirc, I had a bunch of AF 8-5-8 Maddies, probably close to 3, mebbe four boxes so didn’t feel I needed more of a similar smoke. Now, of course, I could kick myself for not getting at least a couple of boxes of the Cupidos. d'oh!

Ya well we all have different palates.
I’m a huge fan of both the Sobremesa and the Mi Querida lines.
The Brulee didn’t do much for me.
Pretty sure I will like the Red Meat Lover as well, once I get my hands on some.

Given that I like Papas Fritas and LP No.9 Coronets, I think I need to get a hold of Saka’s Polpetta offering soon.

I bought REO's back in 2020. Ive left them in my humidor during all this time. I'd have to say, these are GREAT cigars. I'm glad i bought 3 of the 20 packs.

I agree with many listed above.

I'll add the Perdomo 2 (Perdomo squared). I really liked the maduro and perfecto version of this line.

The Sobremesa left me cold too. Really well made and a good smoke but nothing that really grabbed me. I do like some of the Torano offerings… never ran into any issues with them but different strokes and all that
