Blazing Saddles on Netflix

Kinda forgot how politically incorrect (…but hilariously funny…) this movie was.

Gonna look for a replay of today’s GB - Dal playoff game, just so I can watch it again and relish the victory (…’cause next week it might be a different story…).

I’mma so old I saw it in the theater when it first came out. Screaming girls throughout the movie. Was not a great experience.

I saw a comedian do a bit once about these movies. Something about "the first time your kid is abducted it is just bad luck, but the second and third time, maybe you are just a chitty parent..."

John Belushi - another talent gone w-a-y too soon. Crying

I should go searching for my DVD of “Animal House”, another great Belushi classic.

Chinatown on Netflix

Jack Nicholson looks so young! Of course the film was released 49 years ago when Nicholson was only 37 so I guess that would account for Jack’s good looks.

Men Who Built America

"The series focuses on the lives of Cornelius Vanderbilt, John D. Rockefeller, Andrew Carnegie, J. P. Morgan, and Henry Ford. It tells how their industrial innovations and business empires revolutionized modern society. The series is directed by Patrick Reams and Ruán Magan and is narrated by Campbell Scott."

Hulu has it I think too. It's a pretty good watch although some may not like as it portrays brazillionairs that came from not much. One cannot deny though that they helped build the USA to what it is now (for good or bad, depending on your opinion).

we really enjoyed the movie years ago but never watched any of the tv seasons.
What years/seasons would you suggest, or just start from season one episode one?

Frank great series. I would recommend starting with first series episode of Fargo and continue on the Fargo journey. You won't regret it.

Mostly agree with Ram.
The first iteration was what got us hooked.
Each season is a different story and different cast of characters..

Only one season was a clunker. Don’t recall which one. Can research.
This last one was probably the weirdest one, but still well worth the watch.

American Nightmare on Netflix. It highlights the Gone Girl case in CA during 2014-15. It is not a good look for local law enforcement, FBI or the media.

The Greatest Night in Pop

Netflix doc on the backstory of “We Are the World”. Didn’t know that Waylon Jennings was there but walked off when Stevie Wonder wanted to add some lyrics sung in Swahili. I can’t remember the last time I heard the entire song but guessing sometime in the late ‘80s.

late to the party, but we started Fargo last night...season 1, episode 1.
Though it's been many years, it had the same kind of "feel" as the original Coen Brothers movie.

we are hooked!

Gran Turismo on Netflix. It's a good one based on a true story. Fun fact they reveal in the credits: the kid who's story this is based on was the stunt double for the actor that played him in this movie. Pretty cool.
