Finally got a day to take a bunch of yard work I have been needing to get done. Trimmed a bunch of bushes, mowed and edge the lawn, sprayed the yard for weeds and figs what I thought was going to be an expensive irrigation system repair in ten seconds. My body is beat, but a cigar and a generous pour is helping...

<----------------- Saw six of these critters on my Saturday morning walk in the hood. Warned a few folks that were walking with their dogs because Javelina will attack dogs if they feel threatened or have babies present.

Cold front moving through. Dropped 15 degrees with a sprinkle or two but still getting up to about 65 today. Out for a hike and gym later.

Jerky making day.

Just a 3lbs eye of round this time. Only having weekends off makes it harder to do a double batch. I much prefer to do 2 cause the marinade is expensive and I can drain and reuse it for a 2nd batch, then add a bottle of hot sauce to it and have one mild batch one spicy batch. 3lbs costs me about $30 6lbs for $45.

Half got liquid smoke in the marinade and finish in the dehydrator. The other half got a little liquid smoke and finishing that in the electric smoker with some peach wood chips.

Great excuse to sit in the garage for 4-6 hours smoking cigars.

I did try to mow today but the ground is so wet and muddy I was tearing up the grass walking to the shed. Don't need to start out the season with bald stripes from the mower getting stuck.

Is this some type or weird code for um ..... lower mansculpting?

I don't even want to think about what the "muddy" code might be.

New cable company (WOW) tore through our neighborhood to install 5g. In a ddition to busting the sidewalk in front of my home, their equipment damaged my underground sprinkler system. Cost me $200 to get repaired. Got to work on being reimbursed now.

Nice weather today. Bright and sunny, 79/62F. Miniscule chance of rain with a nice breezeze.

Going to work on my aquarium a bit today.

Nothing else...

AT&T just installed fiber optic cables in our neighborhood wreaking havoc breaking water lines and cutting cables. Lucky for us it went well. Most of the problems have been halfazz repairs done by AT&T's contractors.

That high place by ded just called me said the padrons are out of stock. Told em to leave the order open and ship when they get em. I'll forger about the order by the time they arrive. Buddy on a cigar group got Torpedo 64s instead of the coronas he ordered. I should've asked for that...

Told him I get mine first.

His site could use some upgrades to show out of stock automatically.

Morning crew.

I’ve benefited from a couple of mistaken upgrades (…aka “warehouse errors”…) and pondered whether to notify the vendor or not. But figured they’d just say “Our mistake, please enjoy the cigars you received.” Probably cost too much administratively as well as the shipping costs for the return and correct product.

‘Course iffin’ I got a box of Opus X and my order was for Exquisitos, well, that might turn out differently.

Sooo what about this bridge in b-more? Seems strange a boat just runs the hell into it. Anchor won’t even bring it to a halt? Did they drop anchor ? Just seems sketch.

I did read where at least one anchor had been deployed. I’d imagine with that sort of tonnage in motion stopping isn’t going to happen in a few feet. Not sure how many people are still missing but either way that’s terrible. Also imagine the port of Baltimore is gonna be screwed up for a couple weeks. And shipping out of there on trucks is gonna be really screwed up for a long while.
