Strong pepper on the light up black pepper. Some leather moving in. Draw is perfect. 20 minutes in there’s a light spice of something that I can’t describe. I do however like it. Maybe an occasional hint of red pepper However it’s very faint and the black pepper shades it out.

2nd. Very leathery. Less black pepper light caramel note. Burn line is a little wavy but we gonna run it. So light caramel lots of leather and some light black pepper Occasional red pepper still comes and goes. Ash has held on long enough. Believe I’m gonna knock him off there before it ends up in my lap.

Final things have been hanging around with the same flavors for a while now. I’ve made it to the band. Still hanging around with the same flavors. Medium plus flavors and body. Never touched up the burn. Never had to. Toward the end here. Intensity has ramped up a bit. Soooo I’ll guess this is a Jc Newman cigar. It reminds me a bit of the brickhouse. I don’t think they offer the brickhouse in this size and shape but that’s my guess cause I have no idea.

Final third is the best part of this cigar for me. Flavors are the same but intensified. This is the run of the mill daily cigar Final answer.

Thank you z! All in all I liked it. I’d smoke it again

You got to a review 10 mins before posting you received it?! Do you have a Delorean???

Good review man, I’ll list them all 3 with your review at once unless Dan wants us to do them as they get posted?

Received my box from Papa today.
A nice bottle of Ferrindino Maple Syrup, which will be put to good use as soon as I can taste again, and a nich selection of 5 sticks plus the 3 unnamed.
The five?
AF 858 Anniversary Maduro - NH
AF Hemingway Work Of Art Maduro - A Favorite
Cohiba Black - Been a while
San Cristobal Supremo - NH
Warped Chinchalle- NH and have been wanting for a while

And of course the three unbanded and a envelope with all the secrets.
All packed nicely in a AF 858 box.
I cant wait to get into this, however it's gonna have to wait a bit. Still recovering from pneumonia and taste/smell is shot. Hopefully for next weekend.

Best wishes for your speedy recovery. Don’t push it my friend 😎

I think it’s more fun if we wait until all 3 reviews are completed before the revelation. If I smoke one and review it and then I’m told it was the yard ‘gar, that will influence my reviews of the remaining 2.

OBTW: PapaWhiskey that was a generous hit on JGRAZ. Nicely done my brother

Cigar #3 thick girl here.
5/ 56 ish.
Toothy mottled brown cold draw be like chocolate

Baking spices and quality tobacco on the light up

1st Medium body full flavor light spices throughout A little leather but different The leather flavor is mild and the baking spices are interesting. Some black pepper creeping in but there’s more of the interesting spices overall.
2nd. Earthy. Spices have become the background notes. Mild black pepper. Earth is basically the initial drag with light spices on the out. Giving this cigar the double puff seems to be what it likes. Things are still rolling around medium. Fairly complex cigar. I’m digging it. The big earthy flavor has died down now. More of the original baking spices. Burn line is wonky but no touch up yet.
3. Little woodsy notes now. Just a slight shift. Medium all around now. I’m sure full will set in soon. Reminds me of like Roma craft cigars. I liked this cigar pretty well. I can almost change the flavors by how I smoke this one. Stays lit well. Just puff whenever you want. It’s gonna be lit. Rolled tight. Draw has been bang on perfect. More baking spices. More earth if I double puff Intensity will likely ramp up shortly. Then I’ll eat the other chocolate bar z sent. I don’t know what baking spices are but it sounds dope. I also don’t know what wrapper this thing is. All bumpy and ****. Toothy. Whatever. Doesn’t taste Mexican. At the band intensity has done what I expected. Full now.

I’m gonna wrap it up here. Mid tier roma craft.

Good smoke z. Thank you brother

If I read this right, you've saved the best (your best guess I assume) for last?

What was your criteria for establishing the order?

DeadEyeDick hooked me up with an excellent assortment of cigars and goodies. Here are the damages:

Bottle opener with a scorpion in the clear handle. Very cool, already on my fridge.
Banana Scorpion Sucker lollipop with an actual scorpion inside! I'm a little scared of this but will give it a whirl.
Chocolate cherry cheesecake bites. Very tasty little balls of deliciousness.
Dark chocolate almond bark. I haven't opened it yet but sure looks good.
Cactus candy prickly pear sour belts. Yum
Spicy buffalo ranch plantain chips. I've never had a plantain chip, I'm eating some now, these are great!

AF MagR 44 - This is a favorite of mine.
Tatuaje Reserva Broadleaf - Another excellent cigar and I'm a big fan of broadleaf so this is right in my wheelhouse.
El Rey del Mundo Demi Tasse - Never had one of these little beauties.
H. Upmann Half Corona - Also never had, looks great!
and... wait for it...
Partagas Serie D No.4 - Holy smokes! I've seen pictures but never actually had one of my own. From what I've read this is supposed to be one of the best cigars to come out of Cuba.

It's going to be hard to let these cigars rest but I will because I want to taste them in all their glory.

And three dark delicious looking unbanded mystery cigars. I want to let these rest for a while too but not too long so there's no delay of game.

Rick, thank you so much. You went above and beyond and I am truly grateful.

Cigar #2

5 3/4 54. I thought this was much larger.
Tastes like black coffee and cinnamon on the draw before lighting

1st chocolate and pepper on the light up
Smoke production is huge. Reminds me of a cigar I’ve had before
Salty with some cherry flavors mixed in. Not like **** pipe tobacco cherry but a nice kinda cherry flavor. Spices that I cannot identify. Different spices from last cigar. Very dark wrapper oscuro. Spices pretty much dominate at this point. Maybe a hint of chocolate as well. No more cherry at the moment The spices are all over the place. Nutmeg Baking spices (I know I used that on the last cigar but they’re here also They’re just different). No “pepper”.
2nd this cigar is very good. There’s subtle things happening “it moved” nutmeg chocolate unknown spices. Barely full bodied. Flavor is full. Little taste of wood here and there. Like cedar wood perhaps. Cedar and nutmeg currently. That’s where we are hanging out right now. I’m into it. Hope this is the yard gar so I can buy more. High quality tobacco flavor currently. Cherry flavor has been back. Black coffee Hershey special dark chocolate Nutmeg and different than the last cigar baking spices

Final salty flavor appears to be gone. Sweeter now but all the flavors I’ve mentioned are still around. Except the cherry. Not sure if it’s the way I smoke or what but it’s odd it’s only been around a few times then it’s gone. I forgot when I lit this. But well hell not sure it really matters much. Full body full flavor. Really good cigar. My favorite out of the 3 blind smokes. Burn line has been wavy the entire smoke but it’s auto correcting as a good smoke should. Very rich tasting smoke. Sweeter than you’d think at this point. There might even be milk chocolate on occasion. Nutmeg is bold now. I’m gonna wrap this thing up. No idea final smoke time. I’m over an hour for certain. Fantastic cigar. Premium liga 9 final answer.

#1 is:
A smooth, creamy full-bodied smoke with earthy, chocolatey, coffee, and peppery notes. Its oily, dark USA Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper covers a Nicaraguan binder and filler for an added kick. Handmade in Nicaragua, the Mi Querida Gordita is considered the favorite blend of Steve Saka, the founder of Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust.

My local gave me a good price and this was your yard gar. Normally I do a tricky smoke either on the medium level or premium one with an out of production cigar or something wacky. Decided to play this year more on the nose and break from my trend.

#3 was your premium (I actually did them in order this year):

Drew Estate’s Liga Privada H99 is one Toro you will want to add to your regular rotation. A full-strength cigar, the Liga Privada H99 features a Connecticut Corojo wrapper a Mexican San Andrés binder, and a specially blended filler composed of Nicaragua and Honduras’ finest tobaccos. A delicate balance between the H99’s naturally sweet tobacco spice and dense earthy layers make it a full-bodied smoking experience worth repeating.

And your cigar #2 is your mid level price:

A potent cigar with tasty notes of cocoa, coffee, leather, and spice. Its Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper covers a Dominican Republic binder and filler. The La Flor Dominicana Ligero Cabinet Oscuro offers a bold smoking experience with a smooth finish. Handmade in the Dominican Republic.

My notes are a bit different than yours on this one but not far off, and IMO the stronger Dominican cigars can be rather tricky to nail down what your tasting. Glad you enjoyed at least one for sure and it wasn’t insanely priced. To make up for not sending you a long out of production cigar I sent you a couple of those banded ones that have some age on them.

Good reviews Jake, and FAST ya DANM overachiever.

Disclaimer, this is my first time doing something like this

Ok so here goes
Cigar #1 from big Papa W
Cigar is about a 5.5" 50ish ring
Dark mottled black and brown. The wrapper seems dry not oily. Bumpy, veiny, and all in all probably one of the ugliest stick I've come across. Not getting much if anything from smelling the stick. Deep V cut give me a slight chocolate smell at the cut. Cold draw likewise is light without much going on. Having a root beer to accompany it.
Start time is 1715hrs
First 3rd:
Very mild chocolate, and a primary taste I can't place, it's something I can't say I've had in any cigar to date. Very medium to start and quite 1 dimensional out of the gate. And stays that way through first.

Second 3rd:
No more chocolate. Still getting that unknown taste. I think I like it, just wish I could place it. A bit of sweetness creeping in but that taste is getting more pronounced and keeping it back somewhat. I'm thinking the taste is something like umami, earthy, and mushroom. A bit musty in a good way. Still very medium

Last 3rd:
Moved to medium/full. Getting pepper and spice now, that "flavor" is still there and much stronger now. Baking spices like cinnamon and cloves, though slight. Bit metallic that I can feel on my fillings. Pepper is front and center and lingers on my tongue. At the nub it kind of just went flat.
Smoke time 1hour 10min

Construction was great burned perfectly and needed no touch ups. Ash was nice and white and held strong. I didn't dislike it, though I'm not sure it's something chase after for another ride. While there was some transitions, it seemed mostly one dimensional for the most part. initial guess is yard gar. But I haven't had #2 or 3 yet.

Cigar #2 courtesy of Papa Dub

Dark brown Maduro measures at 5.2" and roughly 48 ring. Smooth wrapper bit oily slight chocolate smell with same on the cold draw. V cut and paired with seltzer.

First:
Mild pepper comes first. A little earthy with some type of wood. Smooth flavor around medium. Maybe some damp earthy hints. Burn is solid but ash seems dirty grey with a bit of brown.

Second: Pepper goes away. Getting a bit of chocolate and a touch of sweetness. Wood comes up a bit more and reminds me of freshly dampen Spanish cedar. Which I guess makes some sense. Towards the end of this 3rd I needed a tough up as the burn line tripped up a bit. Also I started to pick up some kind of dried fruit, dark fruit.

Third: Another touch up when it started to tunnel. Right after that I placed the fruit as prunes. Mostly getting the wood and dried fruit. Deep flavor but not super intense. There is a still some sweetness but it's very light to me. My tongue is getting a bit of peppercorn. Remind me more of green peppercorn. Not getting it on retro though. Fleeting tastes of chocolate here and there. Almost went out on me with 1.5" left. Relit and got some immediate flavor that reminded me of fresh figs, not the sweetness just the earthy fruit. Also picking up some dark bread flavors. Went out again with about 1" left. Didn't light again.

Total smoke time 90min
I enjoyed this much more then #1. But last third wanted to tunnel a couple of times and I needed to touch up and re-lite. This seemed more complex. I feel like I should know this one. Padron 0000?
