Regular makers w ginger ale and lime with a couple hits of bitters. Probably my favorite drink. I make these when there’s other bourbon drinkers around. I rarely drink my bourbon without a splash of something in it

I find it underwhelming. My wife likes the bottle. I usually pass

Went to the cigar lounge yesterday for bourbon Friday… Tried too many to list. But a stand out was a bottle of Carter’s bourbon that another gentleman brought. It was excellent

Tried Wolcott BiB at a Total Wine employees recommendation. Meh... it'll be okay for cocktails, but not a sipper IMO.

That's twice those dipsheits have recommended subpar stuff. First one was Bib & Tucker. Won't be a third time.

I know.

Tried to s-t-r-e-t-c-h out the last few pours but last year my wife’s niece (…wasn’t driving and who’s the drinker between her and her husband…) tried EVERY bourbon I had out so busted out “the really good stuff” for her to try, including the two Maisano’s you helped get for me. The cork on the OESV broke so hadda pour the balance into another container. It looked so out of place that I finally decided to it was time to finish the last of it. It was a good yet sad night.

Went to the exchange this morning after my haircut. Momma was in the commissary grabbing groceries so papa went to see what kinda bourbon came in.

Bookers 7 year for $103 (4 bottles left)

Blanton's (round bottle with the horse did not see price but was told in the 50's - 2 left).

I hopped in line. 10 people in front of me. Guy right in front of me got the last Blanton's. Brick wall

Wasn't sure about the Booker's so I passed.

Henry McKenna has been unobtainable for a while around here, since they got all famous...

Grabbed a bottle of Russels Reserve single barrel as a return fire gift for a friend who bought me a bottle of Chestnut Farms bourbon. I haven't tried the RR yet, but I know MACS spoke highly of it and I needed to get in and out of total wine fast, so no long deliberations that likely would have ended with me needing a cart to carry all the bottles.

Sipping on the Chestnut Farms now, very nice high rye bourbon.

Seems to me Florida gets more allocated stuff than CA. At least that has been my experience. I'm seeing a lot more stuff that I've never seen before.

Henry McKenna, you say? I might have seen that. Is it something I should look out for? Any specific bottle you bourbon lovers are a fan of?

I'm really enjoying the bourbon journey. My bar cart is full and the wife rolls her eyes at me when I bring more bourbon home.

I had a brain fart, I was thinking of Baker's 7 rather than Booker's. More evidence of being a FOG.

The McKenna single barrel is one to purchase and when found on base is around $50.

^ I get an unusual cinnamon taste outta this. It’s sweet More sweet than original makers. Has a kinda vanilla cinnamon thing going on. But I wouldn’t give 60$ for it but it’s pretty good. Cheaper I’d drink more of it

Great. Now I want a glass of RRSB and I am not quite sure if I am ready for that yet.

Plus the wife will likely yell at me... and who needs that?
