82098: Sancho Panza Glorioso (Toro) (6.1"x50)
This is the one with Connie wrapper and a Maduro binder. It’s a medium bodied, low strength cigar. Light box press, notes of honey, nuts, cream and Wheaties and cornbread crust. Very nice mellow cigar.

Right on, Toker. I’m a bit surprised that AJF blends them but why should I be? That dude is everything, everywhere, all at once.

I'm not that certain tho and not seeing anything about it. It's a Forged cigar for whom AJ does a lot of blending for so it's possible. As for the moose line, there is also a Connie called the shady Moose so there are 5 variations. My favorite is the Bull Moose maduro except that 60 is the smallest ring gauge that the 2 Bull Moose come in.

I haven’t had that Jalapa ligero wrapper in awhile and I didn’t know that I missed it. It’s a very manageable medium + and I think the balance of spice and sweet is just right. I’ve had this one several months and apparently that is long enough for it to lose some of those hard abrasive edges. Pepper and spice and leather and sweet on the kickoff then the pepper mellows to a background note. The nice sour notes come along in the first third. Midway some cocoa and in the end a bit of all the flavors mingling with a hint of vanilla sugar on occasion. I was surprised at how good this cigar could get after another month of rest. Can’t wait to try some that are older that I’ve received as gifts from the brothers in the trades. Fantastic middle of the night can’t sleep smoke. I’d buy a box for a friend and tell him to bury it for 6 months.

One of the reasons I always note the size I am smoking is in the vain hope that one day the powers-that-be may notice that many regular smokers do not like the big horse d!ck cigars. At least there is a record of dissent. From what I have seen, most of the people on this forum do not smoke them, at least not regularly.

I was looking at tenski's fiver selection the other day, and the only x000 maduro Padrón left was 54 or 56 rg or such. That tells you something. I've also been eyeing some La Aurora Ecuador parejos, and the 5x50 rg sell for twice the price of the 54rg toro, and the romustos are usually sold out. Not the toros. Seems like the market is giving the right feedback, but it's just not being appreciated.

I’mma purdy sure I’ve never purposely bought a 60 RG other than Nubs and figuarados (e.g., Work of Arts) so the only ones I have left were gifted to me. I’ll smoke a 60 when I herf since I know we’ll be drinkin’ and talkin’ story for at least 2 hours. Otherwise those big boys never see the light of day.

Seems like theres a lot less corona and lancero offerings and more 60s than a few years ago. Also more Robustos that are thicker like 54 rg. Like the undercrown robusto.

There's a lot of flavor packed into that Bull Moose maduro though. Even for a 60. Very spicy but still unnatural smoking it.

Thanks, Palama, I’m sure working on it. I still have a difficult time guessing what the wrappers are when I smoke them. I take a guess and then look it up and more often (60/40) I’m wrong. I can pretty much nail the Connie, MSA and Sumatra. When we get to the blends though…I’m really just now appreciating the different fillers. There’s a lot to know and I have trouble remembering what I’ve learned but it is hella fun and relaxing. When I’m paying attention to all of the details and searching for those breakout flavors the world is on pause. Nothing else is running through my head. Well, not much anyway.
You had me at Johnny Cash, but then Whitlock, Clapton and Perkins…that was one heck of a lineup

I had 2 of a fiver in the smoke box. The first one was a complete dud. This one was sweet and savory. Unfortunately it had several soft spots and it was like trying to smoke quicksand. Tossed it at halfway mark. What I could smoke was tasty tobacco though.

* I appreciate the discussion on ring gauges. I think we should all respect Jake’s right to smoke those donkey d!cks behind closed doors. 😂

Sadly, the last one. They were very good smokes from the get-go. One of those "wish I bought more" cigars that feed my FOMO syndrome.

In the LR2018’s case, I let them nap for over a year before sparking up my first one. By then of course, they were sold out! Nonetheless, I thoroughly enjoyed all 5 of them and at this point in time, hoping the LR2022’s mature into a top smoke too. I bought many more than a 5er in anticipation of them turning into a great smoke too.

Lol, I only have 1,000 SqFt of grass. I couldn't even get through a Tat PCR before I was done mowing.

82138 Espinosa Crema with thanks to jeebling. This one's been on my radar for 2 reasons: I like a really creamy sweet CT shade from time to time and the name makes me think maybe this is one. And 2- it's frequently on sale cheap over at tenski.

First light, could be any CT. Peanut shells, pepper. Draw is perfect, burn is fast. I've only got 45 minutes until TV time with the wife so that's fine by me. This Connie got a lil body on her too. I like it.

Bready, slightly sweet, peppery, pretty standard good Connie. Not the sweet cream bomb buttered shortbread dessert cigar I was hoping for. But I certainly enjoyed it. Got plenty decent and too many mediocre CT shade in my hoarde, it's gotta be a stellar one to add more. This ain't it. It's decent. Enjoyed it more than the EPC Inch. Thanks jeebling.
