Good cigar, Ecuadorian Oscuro Sumatra wrapper is beautiful and shiny. Invisible wrapper line and perfect draw, very well constructed. Smells of barnyard and leather. Some kind of blackened fruity marinade taste on dry draw. At kickoff it was a pepper cedar bomb that quickly fades to a sweet tobacco and slightly ginger taste which builds to a cedar and reminiscent of root beer flavor. The transitions are not clearly defined and the profile slowly builds throughout. Strength and body build. In the final third I’m sure I tasted a jalapeño flavor in the deep background along with a sweet mineral taste that reminds me of burned molasses. The flavors are hard to find in the full strength and body but the cigar is quite nice at CBid price point.

Cuban Rounds Petite Corona. Nice $2 or less stick.

Do people that buy real Cubans know that they're just buying fake Cuban Rounds?

Please number each cigar you smoke, we're counting.

To answer your Q, if someone knew they were getting ripped off, they obviously wouldn't pay what they cost.

The folks I know who buy Cubans know where to get legit ones.

81913 Oliva V Melanio. Been a long time since I've had one. This one was in quite yellowed cello and is a great cigar. Sweet, savory, toasty, creamy texture/mouthfeel.

I dont care for these that much when young. This one is good. Not good enough to buy, but I'd smoke another.

81916 l'atelier travaillures. The melanio got boring, no progression through the halfway point and I wanted something different so this short smoke took care of that. They're not bad, I won't miss em when they're gone tho.

How was the EZ Death Before Dishonor? I’ve got a fiver that’s only been laying down for a week. I’m looking forward to one.

This is a beautiful cigar, beautifully constructed, spot-on perfect draw. Earthy, chocolate and leather nose preflight, cold draw was sweet tobacco. Big pepper and a tiny touch of coffee on kickoff which quickly subsided. First third was a very mellow, no more than medium strength smoke but the body was more full. Flavors were not breaking out but the smoke was sweet and dense and the tobacco at the cap was a little sweet, salty, savory and delicious. Second third the light salty twang came in abruptly and well received. Occasional tastes of candied cherry that was hit and miss. Final third had a mineral salty savor with a hint of molasses. The body and strength have increased and the retro burns the sinuses but no taste of pepper. I think it is a good cigar at CBid prices.

81820 - Viaje Private Keep Lemon toro. Wouldn't stay lit. After the 15th relight in 30 minutes I tossed it. I had forgotten, but the last one I tried to smoke did that. It's a shame. The 15th Anni I had the other day was excellent. I don't see myself buying any Viajes for a while. I'm not much in the mood to buy $12 -$15 cigars that won't burn. There are too many alternatives that will.

It was definitely good but I'm not going to smoke another for a couple of months. I usually let EZ cigars sit for no less than a month; typically two. In my opinion, this has proven to improve the quality. I got anxious this time and had to try one.

81823: Padron 1964 Exclusivo Maduro #397817. Cocoa and espresso on the initial draws. Short ash drops. I remember these being more cocoa or even chocolate, but this one has intense coffee notes in the first third. Second third: the coffee blast dies down and more notes of chocolate and spice (nutmeg) with a distinct cedar note on the lips. Final third: more of the same, but with the spice overtaking the cocoa notes. Last of my 1964's, but still have some 26's and Family Reserve.

All of the cigars in this five pack have been dry and ugly AF. I’m rotating the remaining 2 back to storage so they can get right.

I was looking at the Plascencia Alma del Campo, and the sizes are:

Madroño
Sendero
Travesía
Guajiro
Tribu

Can anyone who hasn't already bought some of these tell me, from looking at those, which is the toro? No, you can't. You know why? Because of dumb.

I had to hunt and peck, clicking on each one until I found it.

It's the Travesía.

81933 Aladino Corojo Reserva I'm pretty sure with thanks to Palama but it was out of cello and already cut. I remember doing that, don't recall the circumstance but it happened.

It's a lovely smoke.

Connecticut wrapper. Nothing bad to say about this cigar. The draw was a peg tighter than I prefer but the burn presented no issues. I knew I was smoking a mild Connie but there was zero creaminess, nuttiness, pepper or leather. Somewhat sweet aftertaste and retro. I’ll let the other 3 sleep for awhile but I don’t expect much of a change. On a brighter note, my hoard of cheap fivers is getting smaller by the week and the slightly costlier boutique stash is growing and getting plenty of rest at proper RH.

81942: Fuente Fuente Opus X Double Corona: citrus and pepper on the cold draw. First third: leather, citrus and cedar. This old cigar has melded together well. Perfect draw, wavy burn. Second third: more pepper, less citrus on the draws. Last of this size. Final third transitions to more pepper and coffee with the initial leather and a hint of light spice. Still has a citrus note on the lips. Not as overwhelmingly strong as I remember, more medium full. 2 hours well spent.

This cigar was enjoyable. Great construction although I could see the seems they weren’t raised. I don’t understand why visible seems are a detractor, I never seem to notice a difference in my smoking experience. The wrapper was veiny, shiny, mottled. The shininess and mottled spots increased after lighting. The cigar had a common barnyard scent and the cold draw was unremarkable. Kickoff had lots of pepper, especially the retro, and earth, leather. The first inch transitioned quickly to a subtle sweet aftertaste with a familiar taste I can’t nail down. It reminded me of Canadian whiskey and lemon zest but just faintly. The lemon zest hung in there until the end, as did the sweet finish. I think I could place a minor hint of caramel coffee in that aftertaste but I would not oversell that observation. Into the last third the burn went sideways on me and I didn’t touch it up. It ended up needing long overheating tugs to keep burning. I backed off when it got bitter and the cherry died. Certainly not a great cigar but I think overall tasty and so…not bad.
