Happy March folks. A typical 50 going to a sunny 75 and the smell of citrus blossoms is strong.

I hit the gym three times each week and I don't look this good also. Unsure

I’ve been debating whether or not to get another turntable but I don’t listen to my stereo system more than twice a month so the non-usage argument (…in my mind…) wins everytime. BUT, iffin’ I do, pretty much settled on a Dual CS 329. Did consider a Project TT but the lazy guy in me decided I want a semi or fully automatic ‘cause I don’t wanna hafta get up and lift the tonearm everytime a record finishes.

Suggest you just take a couple albums at a time and play them. Then when the vinyl “bug” hits, you’ll wanna listen to more so then you’ll take more to the MC. Eventually a crate or two will be lighter and much easier to carry.

To add to my earlier post, leaning towards jumping back into selling on eBay. I’mma now researching record mailers as well as inner sleeve replacements as some of the sleeves have either discolored (paper) or disintegrated (PE). Probably get a 100 “audiophile” non-static rice paper sleeves for those albums.

Took another step towards selling some of my records on eBay. Bought some replacement inner sleeves last night. Still researching record mailers.

I know not every record is worth good money but even the less popular / in-demand ones are selling for more than what I can get if I sold them to a used records store. Decisions, decisions…. Think

My friend used to have over 20,000 albums. He has sold a bunch on eBay. The ones in high demand, he sold one at a time. Others he sold in lots, making sure to include a few semi high demand ones with several low demand ones. People were buying 20 to get 2-3

For St Augustine, I recommend the Columbia Restaurant.

1905 salad, Spanish bean soup, and either a Cuban sandwich or ropa vieja.

I had hoped they would be able to do Ybor with lunch at Columbia, but alas it was too far for them to travel for the day. But, I'm up for Columbia anytime!

Traveling down to Bocca again tonight to move my daughter into her new apartment tomorrow. It's been 2.5 or more years in the making, but she finally saw the light! My wife and I are relieved in so many ways...

Salmon with blackened seasoning and garlic butter... grouper with blackened seasoning pan fried in clarified butter... cranberry pecan kale salad... a scoop of Costco vanilla to top it all off.

I need a nap.

I love grouper, but the salmon came out better, IMO.

eBay takes a larger percentage of your sale these days. Plus USPS shipping prices are really expensive compared to just a few years ago.

Be sure to factor that into to the price of your records or you might end up disappointed.

Those changes are why I quit selling stuff on eBay.

Forgot I'd set the raccoon traps weds. Went out back to check em. One fatass greedy fugger got one paw trapped and then went over to another trap and got his 2nd hand trapped. That one was already dead when I got to it. The 3rd trap had a living possum. Sometimes I'll put welding gloves on and release the possums but this one was close to death anyway so it got shot.

Quick cigar in the garage, waiting for a packet of brisket to thaw. Wife roasted some little quartered taters, gonna chop some up and toss it with the taters.

2 more shifts.

Compost pile.

I'll occasionally skin em or strip the tails and tan em. But raccoon hides are nasty greasy messes.

Just found some opus in a sampler: perfection #5, a Chateau sungrown, 2x rm101 farce mad for $30. I bought all that was left. Sold out now.

Found a new place to order from or at least to check. Well see once the cigars land hopefully theyre good. Quick reddit search found a few haul posts from their samplers looks like they've been doing a rare fuente and 3 decent cigars in a pack for the price of the fuente.

And they didn't nail me with the indiana cigar tax

Corned beef season is here - spotted first store ad for it. Can't wait for the sales. I usually have it for dinner about 5 times in March and freeze a few for the fall and winter.

Last night shift in the ICU.

I told everyone last night I'd bring brisket and bread n condiments for my last night.

Dayshift had an assload of tacos, tamales, sides delivered at 1830 for my last shift.

The other girls brought loads of sweets - cookies, candies, cupcakes. I dont eat sweets but appreciate the gesture. They'll eat em.

Manager said she was gonna send pizzas over at 9pm. We told her no, too much food already.

And I don't have to do anything tonight. I'm out of staff with no patients, the code/rapid response team I built is here to do that stuff, dayshift did most of my paperwork for me before I got here, I just need to add midnight updates and any changes.

Good Sunday Morning to All! It's an overcast 62° on the way to 73° today.

I need to run over to Lowes for some replacement toilet flush valves and cleaning a slow shower drain. My knees are not happy.

$450 for an ashtray? Yeah, that would be a big franking no. I wouldn't even buy a generic ash tray for $45.

Steak tips with Parmesan cheese roasted taters and corn are in the process of digestion. Got some chicken in the crock pot cooking for later. Prolly do some wild rice with it but until then, I predict a cat nap.

I still use a couple of the ashtrays you brought to my house!
I seem to recall that I mentioned I could not find any, even at the local Dollar Store.

Dave cut those 3 trees for me, he bucked all but the limbs too. Cost me a couple cheeseburgers, some chips and a case of beer.

Not bad. Had fun. I'll start on the creek side trees after I clean everything up from today.

Over and out.

Ram, I gave up on wireless stuff at my desktop. Sure it declutters a bit but it also introduces hassle at some point. I got 5 years outta my last set before it started having issues so went back to USB corded in 2019. Keys are worn can't see the letters on half but it always works.
